Watch our Google+ Hangout! Building Online Relationships between Journalists and Gov Public Affairs People

Government communicators want to share their news with members of the media online, and reporters and bloggers and other influencers want to connect with you! Maybe you’ve heard about pitching to journalists on Twitter or other channels, but you aren’t quite sure how to go about it, or whether this is something that’s even allowed.

Learning how to build relationships with journalists online and via social media and strategically reaching out to them on Twitter and other channels is a useful skill. Join a government communicator experienced in this area and a panel of journalists who frequently interact with gov public affairs staff online. Journalists and government communicators will share best practices and answer questions.
